Work worth more than 114 million birr has been done in Harari region with goodwill in winter – Mr. Getu Woyesa

Head of the Prosperity Party office, Mr. Getu Woyesa, said that over 114 million birr worth of voluntary work has been done in Harari region in the last three months, benefiting the low-income community.
Regarding the winter volunteer activities carried out in the last three months, the head said that volunteer activities in the region are developing from time to time.
He said that the work to be done is benefiting especially the lower class of society.
For this reason, he explained that during the last three months, the summer voluntary service, worth more than 114 million birr, has been carried out to benefit the low-income section of the society.
In addition to this, he pointed out that effective work has been carried out in 14 different sectors by involving various sections of the society during the winter volunteer service.
He said that especially in the urban and rural districts of the region, it has been possible to solve the basic problems of the underprivileged by renovating many houses.
He explained that in the house renovation and construction program, various government institutions, investors, religious institutions and various sections of the society are involved in the renovation and construction of 129 houses, and so far 74 houses have been completed and handed over to the beneficiaries.
He said efforts are being made to complete the remaining houses and hand them over to the users
In addition to this, he mentioned that by supporting more than 6,000 students from poor families with educational materials, he was able to prevent students from dropping out of school due to economic limitations.
He explained that in the past, they have done effective work in maintaining peace of the environment, cleaning, green footprint program, blood donation, free medical services, reinforcement education and other sectors during the winter volunteer service.
The management’s coordination and commitment were also seen in the work done. Ato Gethu said that it was seen that there is no reason why operations cannot be successful if they are managed properly and the resources that can be taken as experience for the next missions were obtained.
He said that by strengthening our cooperation and supporting each other, we should prove in practice that each other is not a burden to the other, but a support and blessing, and to ensure the prosperity of our country.
